The Kenyan Embassy in Paris, France has announced new measures aimed at preventing the spread of Covid-19.

Under the new guidelines published by the Kenyan Ambassador to France Judi Wakhungu, services will only be provided on an appointment basis.

Amb. Wakhungu said people will be given a specific date and time to arrive at the embassy once they book an appointment.

She said the mission will continue to offer all crucial services including submission of e-passport application forms, visa, and birth certificate applications.

Other services include non-marriage certification, ethics certification, translation services, legalization, among other services.

Those visiting the embassy on appointment have been warned against tagging other people along.

“It is forbidden to accompany others to the embassy,” the embassy stated.

Services at the embassy resumed on June 23rd, three months after the mission was closed following the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in France.

The closure affected Kenya’s consulates in Holy See, Portugal, and Serbia, which are under Amb. Wakhungu’s jurisdiction.
