US-based Kenyan tax consultant Peter Gioko has succumbed to COVID-19 complications.

Until his death on Friday, Gioko was living in Birmingham, Alabama and was known as a consultant who helper Kenyans across the US file their personal and business taxes.

He was also an active community leader in Alabama and a member of the Global Diaspora Congress.

His death comes barely two weeks after the passing of another community leader Josphat Peter Kingara Kibutha of Birmingham, who died on February 3rd.
