President Kenyatta has insisted that the hustlers vs dynasties narrative being peddled by Deputy President William Ruto is dangerous.
Kenyatta, who spoke during an interview aired on Kikuyu FM stations on Monday, warned that the talk may cause incitement and brew hatred in the country.
“If their logic is to say that because my father was the president, and I am the president today, then we are called dynasties, then in equal measure if your father was a doctor, and you are a doctor, then you have no right to take care of patients,” Uhuru said,
He added: If that is the logic, then if you are not ashamed of telling us that this and that family has ruled, why not say this and that community have ruled, and it is time for another? That issue seemed to have rubbed them the wrong way, that is why the whole week they have been bitter…it doesn’t have to be hustlers or dynasties, but my point is, don’t incite people.”
He beseeched the people of Mt. Kenya to reject attempts by a section of politicians to divide the country along class lines.
"I am begging you our people, do not be incited by people just because of a few coins. I am a student of history. If you don't know where you came from, you can't know where you are going,” he said.
Kenyatta warned that he would not allow political leaders to incite Kenyans against each other.
“I am not worried about their insults, let them continue, but they should not try to incite people to chaos or stop ongoing projects if they do, just like I said the other day, they will know a lion that is rained on is not a cat,” he warned.

@Lokitino, hustler vs dynasty is a political ploy used to divide citizens by politicians who have nothing to offer the real hustler. Ruto is dangerous for Kenya. His language and politics have led to Rift Valley tribal clashes in the past and now he is at it again only this time he is pretending to be a hustler. His kind of politics pits neighbor vs neighbor. If a revolution was to happen based on his sick ideology all state resources would be used to protect him and his fellow BIG men. Woe unto you with a stone house, a car and a small shop. You would be branded the "dynasty" by your fellow villagers who are not thrilled by your progress. Ruto would be watching this from the comfort of his mansion in Surgoi as the commoners slaughter each other.

Mr. president don’t try to change the subject. Only last week you are the one who came out inciting people along ethnicity. You know so well that the Kenya constitution does allow such things as ethnic presidents. Yet you went ahead to confuse the Kenyan people.
Again you are lying to the same people as you are typing to sweep the dynasty narrative under the rug. Don’t confuse people comparing dynasties with professionals as doctors. Dynasties are people like yourself, Moi sons, or Raila, or Kibaki. It’s not incitement if one mentions the truth about dynasties.
