A white woman accused of racially abusing a Kenyan lady and throwing her shopping bags on the floor at the Carrefour Supermarket in Nairobi's Karen estate has been banned from shopping in any of the French retail's shop across the country.

Wangu Wa Muendo took to social media to narrate the humiliation she suffered in the hands of the white woman at Carrefour hypermarket. Ms Muendo accused the supermarket’s management of failing to come to her rescue, even after she reported the incident to the cashier.

After reviewing CCTV footage, Carrefour on Tuesday confirmed the incident happened and announced action against the lady. “We are disturbed by what we saw and heard. As a result we met with the affected customer and assured her of our support in resolving this matter through official channels,” the statement read.

The retail chain said it has invited police to investigate the incident and take appropriate legal action.

“At Carrefour we do not condone racism or any other form of discrimination, at any time in any of our locations. The instigator of the incident is no longer welcome at any of Carrefour stores in Kenya.”

What took them so long, Ridiculous. What's the name of that woman still without a name. How can we tell she has been banned? That's comical and taking Kenyans for fools..
