Wambui Kamiru, the widow of the late Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore, wowed Kenyans online on Monday after she sent her deceased husband a message in what would have been his 62nd birthday.

Wambui posted the message on Twitter saying she missed being Collymore’s “personal paparazzi” for their “failed selfies.”

“Mr. C., I miss being your personal paparazzi for our failed selfies. 6 months, 13 days, 22hrs 20mins since I last saw you. Happy Birthday @bobcollymore I continue to love you,” Wambui wrote.

Collymore, who served as the CEO of giant telecommunications operator Safaricom, passed away on July 1st, 2019 at his home after a long battle with acute myeloid leukemia, a rare type of cancer.

Collymore and Wambui got married on April 2nd, 2016 in an invitation-only wedding held at an upmarket residence in Kitisuru, Nairobi. He left behind four children and his wife.

I am sure Bob Collymore must be smiling from wherever he's to know that his dear wife continues to love him even in death. Rest well, Bob. You were a great industry captain and an inspiration in our country. May God Continue to protect the family that you left behind.
