Miss Kenya USA is proud to be under new management, based in the state of New Jersey in the USA. Ms. Gloria McCarthy, a former participant of the pageant, decided to revive the competition due to the positive impact it has had on the participants that have taken part in it.

As a newly revamped organization, its objective is to empower young Kenyan women here in the United States through the Jenga Nchi Program under SANDJI CDC, a non-governmental organization registered in the state of New Jersey. Our goal is to have as many young Kenyan women groomed and ready, to render their services as well as be positive role models within the community and the diaspora. Miss Kenya USA Pageant will serve as a platform for these young women to showcase their talent and also learn how to network within different arenas.

The pageant’s ultimate vision is to allow each young lady that is participating in the pageant to have an avenue where they can express themselves freely while exercising their goals towards development. It also hopes to mold these young women to be leaders of tomorrow, by helping them adapt to roles and programs that will utilize their skills to their maximum potential.

Please contact us if you have what it takes or know any young lady living in the USA with the following characteristics;

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be from Kenya or have one parent from Kenya
  • You must be a female between the ages of 18-30 years at the time of application
  • Must be a student trying to pursue a degree or has graduated with a degree
  • Be able to travel from state to state/country to country
  • Must be in good physical and mental health

Please send us an email at misskenyaus@yahoo.com to register as a participant for the pageant taking place in Paterson, New Jersey on 2nd September, 2012. We can also be located on Facebook under username: MsKenya UsPageant.

Past Miss Kenya USA winners such as Eunice Karanja, Victoria Njau and Angela Muiruri have represented Kenya at the Miss Africa USA Pageant, where they scooped Miss Africa 2nd Runner Up titles and a Miss Culture Title respectively. The revamping of the pageant is to ensure more young women involved in community building activities in diaspora as well as for Kenya.
