Uhuru Clothing, a Kenyan-owned clothing line based in the U.S., has landed an exclusive deal to dress the cast of the soon-to-be-released 2012 Olympic anthem video Move to the Beat.
The video, sponsored by Coca Cola and produced by Madtraxx, is set to be released on Friday July 27 at the Coca Cola Plaza in Nairobi. Move to the Beat is the official anthem for Team Kenya in the 2012 Olympics which will be held in London from July 27 to August 12, 2012.
The anthem features Collins Okoth (aka Colla Boy) from Kisumu and Juliet Karanja (aka Sign) from Nairobi. The two got to work on the song after winning the Coca-Cola Kenya Olympic Anthem contest, an initiative sponsored by Coca-Cola.
Uhuru Clothing was founded in Dallas, Texas in 2007 by Thomas Mwicigi and launched in Kenya earlier this year (READ: US-based Uhuru Clothing to Launch in Nairobi).
Twim, mashaAllah. I'm so proud of you.
