The late Mama Rosemary Nyamoita Omurwa (02/20/1954-07/17/2012)

We are saddened to announce the death of Mama Rosemary Nyamoita Omurwa of Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA which occurred on Tuesday, July 17th after a long battle with cancer. She was hospitalized at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.

Mama Nyamoita comes from Nyosia, Nyaribari Chache, Kisii. She was a daughter of the Late Sylvester Omurwa and the Late Paustina Moraa, Daughter in law to the Late Senior Chief Musa Nyandusi and Tabulele Nyandusi. She was married to the Late Lazarus Ratemo Nyandusi and a great mother and aunt to Bethany Nyandusi and Leah Nyangeri (Texas), Dennis Arasa (Iowa), Moffat Oresi, Faith Kemunto, David Ayoti, Collins Omurwa, Cynthia Kerubo all of Minneapolis, Raymond Makori (New Jersey), Annette Makori (Atlanta, Georgia), Bena and Rashad Nelson (Maryland), Fred and Yelena Makori (Atlanta Georgia), Violet Kemunto, Kilday Ratemo, Victor Ratemo, Eric Amenya, Oira Ratemo, Chibeka. Sister to Christantus Makori Omurwa, Sam Ayoti, Christina Moige, Late Martha Sarange, Late Elizabeth Bosibori, Benedict Omwando, Michael Omurwa and Richard Bichage. Sister in Law to Simeon Nyachae, Benjamin and Tabitha Masakara, Late Thomas Oira,Tabitha Morangi, Henry Nyakoiro, Late Ombui and Regina Nyaboke (Atlanta, Georgia). Grandma to Jayden, Kara, Diana and many others.

Family and friends are meeting daily at 1925 Bluestem Lane, Shoreview, Minnesota, 55126.

Memorial Service and fundraising will be held at Church of Nazarene, 501 73rd Avenue N,
Brooklyn Park, MN 55444 on Saturday, August 28th at 6pm.
