The Kenya national football team Harambee Stars is scheduled to play an international friendly match on August 25, 2012 against Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz in Connecticut, USA.

Mr. Sam Nyamweya, the Kenya Football President, said the game will provide the much needed exposure for the team to take on Nigeria in a World Cup 2012 qualifying game. The qualifying game against the Super Eagles will take place in March 2013.

Mr Nyamweya asked Kenyans at home and in the Diaspora to support their home team for the two upcoming matches. Kenya is currently ranked 125th in the world while Jamaica ranked much higher, at number 63.

The match against Jamaica will take place at the Rentschler field in Hartford Connecticut. Tickets for the game range in price between $40 and $60 and are available for purchase on the Ticket Master website.
