Ngahu Wins in Kangema as Moses Ole Sakuda Claims Kajiado North Nomination

Nyingi Tiras Ngahu has won the Kangema constituency The National Alliance (TNA) party nominations. He garnered 4,820 votes to defeat six other candidates who are vying for the by-election slated for September 17.

Githiga Duncan Mwangi came in second with 3,283 votes while Muturi Kigano came third with 2,332 votes.

Kirima Ann Wangare was fourth after garnering 1,714 votes.

The seat fell vacant following the death of former Environment Minister John Michuki who died after serving the constituency for more than 15 years. 

In Kajiado North, Moses ole Sakuda emerged top with 16,130 votes to defeat his closest rival Francis Parsimei who came second with 1,677.

Joseph Manje who had, however, dropped out of the race came third with 19 votes.

The seat fell vacant following the death of Internal Security minister George Saitoti on June 10 following a helicopter crash.

In Ndhiwa constituency, Rosemary Rumo won the TNA nominations with 658 votes to beat two candidates seeking the party nominations.

She defeated Odhiambo Okoth who came second with 206 votes and Meshack Odundo who came third with 75 votes.

Rumo will now face Augustino Neto of ODM who won the party nominations on Monday.

The seat fell vacant following the death of Internal Security assistant minister Orwa Ojode who died alongside Prof Saitoti on the June 10 helicopter crash.
