The widow of former Environment Minister the late John Michuki, Josephine has died at Nairobi hospital after long battle with cancer.
Mrs Michuki died on Wednesday morning at the hospital at about 7am.
According to her son, Francis Michuki, the late Josephine has been battling with the disease for the last three years.
“As you have heard, our mother passed away this morning. She has been battling with illness for the last three years,” said Michuki’s son Francis.
He made the remarks at the Lee Funeral services shortly after viewing the body of the late Josephine.
Flanked by former Information and Communication Minister and one time Mukurweini legislature Mutahi Kagwe and other family members, Francis said that other details about funeral arrangements would be disclosed later.
The death comes barely six months after the late Environment Minister died after battling multiple organ failure for some time.
Michuki passed on in February at the Aga Khan University Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.
The Michuki’s have left behind six children.
