Fury in Kisumu as Miguna Miguna Calls Luos "Voting Robots"

Printer-friendly versionPDF version

There was fury and anxiety at a hotel in Kisumu City on Thursday, after former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s Coalition Affairs advisor Miguna Miguna provoked youths by calling them “voting robots”.

Rowdy youths surrounded the hotel and expressed anger for Miguna’s assertions that Luos are always used by Prime Minister Raila Odinga as voting robots.

Police who were guarding the former Premier’s aide sneaked him out of the hotel after youths warned of burning the hotel.

For fear of being stoned, Kisumu residents gave a wide berth of the event, after rumour spread that youths from Kondele have been hired by area MP to cause commotion by throwing stones.

Kisumu city is a stronghold of Prime Minister Raila Odinga.

Kisumu residents should appreciate Miguna as another one of theirs who is focused on change like Raila. The word "voting Robots" is what is ailing kenyans as a whole when it comes to voting! Kikuyus, kalenjinis, luhyas, kambas, will vote like robots.

Thank you Miguna Miguna for enlightening your community. This word will spread far and wide coz real men are putting caution to some of our leaders.

Miguna has spoken.

Well spoken Charles N, very well spoken the truth hurts, but it's the truth. And it's this robot mentality that brings around alot of tribalism.

Amos,

That you are excited instead of being enlightened does not give you any right to demean any citizen to the level of a goat(Animal)! You will agree that you must be a cross bread of a goat in your own intentions orsuffer lack of linguistic ability.

Grow UP!

Now, all this is nonsense. whether voting robots or puppets, Miguna is just wrong in whichever way. You cannot scheme a plan for a wrong doer, oversee that wrong being purported then later step aside and pretend to blow the whistle of your own brainchild. Where was Miguna in 2007 to start calling luos robots now? Having read the nonsense of composition of come baby come, I concluded that both Raila and Miguna have a case to answer to themselves and not Kenyans. If you are a wise Kenyan out there, find something better to do other than applauding these, I repeat NONSENSE. Forget your tribe and be Kenyan like MKENYA.

For someone to interpret something tribally like Mr. Charles has done, you must have a tribal mentality ...... So that just makes you another robot/goat!

There is a saying in my mother-tongue that translates to something like 'don't sh*t on the plate just because you are satisfied. You'll need it next time your hungry'. Miguna should focus his rage at issues, not people.

That brings up the issue on whether RAO is really worth all this attention and effort that Miguna is giving him. In politics, even bad publicity is still publicity!

I wish we had more Migunas in Kenya because these politicians need to be exposed. And yes, I don't fault him for blowing the whistle. It’s what whistle blowers do. It's called in retrospect and everyone with a conscious should put it to practice.

All these political goons need to go and I pray every night for a plague to wipe them out coz that's the only way out. What with all the robots in every corner of Kenya who continually put them back in office. Bravo Miguna and wishing you well!!
