A Kenyan woman was killed in a car accident on Tuesday night, September 4, 2012, in Sayreville, New Jersey, after the car she was driving crossed a double yellow line and hit a pick-up truck head-on, according to police.
According to police who responded to the accident that happened around 10:50pm, 47-year-old Jane Karuga was driving her 1997 Nissan Sentra southbound on Cranbury Rd when her car crossed the double yellow line near Davidson Mill Rd. A 2001 Dodge Ram pick-up truck driving in the opposite direction hit Jane’s car head-on.
Jane was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
