Veteran Kenyan TV Presenter Passes On

David Mutua Nthiwa

David Mutua Nthiwa, host of one of the greatest family programs, Joy Bringers and Sing and Shine, on VoK (now KBC) has passed on. The veteran presenter passed away early this week at the Coptic Hospital.
Mr. Nthiwa went into the history books for being the first Christian broadcaster and musician. The deceased was also a one-time chaplain at Sacho High School and continued to minister until the time of his death.

Mr. Nthiwa will be laid to rest on September 29 at Kikambuani village, Kangundo Machakos County. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

Katika uhai wa marehemu Nthiwa, familia nyingi zilikusanyika Jumamosi masaa ya jioni kutazama runinga ya VOK (KBC) katika kipindi kilichokuwa maarufu cha Joy Bringers. Aliwaburudisha sote kwa nyimbo tamu za injiri. Alikuwa mpole na mwenye kupenda kazi na watazamaji waliomtegemea kuwaletea waimbaji chipikizi na maahiri kama vile Rachel Njeri, Mary Atieno, John Ndungu, Jane Muthoni, Paul Njoroge, Mary Wamboi, Kimani Thomas na wengineo, zikiwepo pia kwaya za makanisa mbalimbali.

Kifo chake sio pigo tu kwa familia yake waliompenda kwa dhati, ila pia kwa sisi sote tuliomgoja kwa hali na ghamu aloweshe roho zetu. Kwako wewe hatakusahau milele. Mwenyezi Mungu aiweke rohowe palipo pema peponi.
