Restaurants owners in Nairobi have signed an internet deal with EatOut Kenya, Google and Wazi WiFi to enable their customers to go online while in their facilities. Diners will be able to use the WiFi connections on their phones, tablets or laptops.
As EatOut Kenya has shown, local restaurants with an online presence are now gaining an edge with clients, who like to make reservations in advance, view menus and prices, and see reviews of establishments before choosing a bar or restaurant. Google's services for business owners, including Google+, help by offering new ways to get one's business on the map, and to interact with patrons over the web using features like Google+ Hangouts.
Wazi WiFi provides high-speed, accessible WiFi access points to businesses. Google Country Manager Joe Mucheru said the initiative gives customers the freedom to continue with their digital life even in restaurants.
