Documentary: A Kenyan Nursing Student in the US Organizes a Free Medical Camp in Kenya
Watch a documentary of Grace Mbuthia, a Kenyan studying nursing in Kansas, United States who organized a 10-day medical camp with a few other volunteers in Kiamunyeki village, Nakuru district in Kenya's Rift Valley earlier this past summer.
In addition to distributing medical supplies that she had had solicited in the US, Grace also had several volunteers who performed medical checkups and offered treatment to the residents.
Grace hopes to offer a similar camp next year, and seeks donations at http://neemam.wordpress.com/donate/ to make his possible.
In recognition of her achievement, Grace was awarded a Best Role Model award by Talanta Development Inc in September of this year (READ: Talanta Development Inc Holds 5th Annual Awards Ceremony in Seattle, Washington).
