A Kandara aspirant has denied the he cannot speak Kikuyu. Pharmacist Stephen Gikonyo said two of his rivals have been spreading rumours he is an Amercan.
“Some of my opponents are spreading propaganda because I am very popular. They are say I cannot speak Kikuyu, this is a lie, Kikuyu is my first language and can speak it without any difficulties,” said Gikonyo.
He said his party is TNA and he is supporting Uhuru Kenyatta for presidency. He said his rivals have been saying he is supporting Peter Kenneth, who is hopes to run for the presidency on a Kenyan National Congress ticket, which is not true.
“I am a life member of TNA and a strong supporter of Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta unlike some of my rivals among them the MP and other Murang’a MPs who have been forced to support the DPM,” said Gikonyo.
An aspiring Kandara MP has told off his rivals misleading voters that he does not speak Kikuyu. He maintained that he is contesting in The National Alliance Party unlike what his critics say that he is supporting Peter Kenneth in his National Congress Party. Gikonyo said he is ready for the December 4 nominations and is sure to win.
