Stopping at just an annual event seems un- acceptable given the impact Talanta has had on thousands of people in only five years. Due to its indisputable impact, Talanta is expanding its horizons by starting the long overdue ‘TALANTA RADIO’. The mission is to create an environment where talents can be appreciated, nurtured and empowered on a broader platform.
There will be sharing, fellowship, testimonies and interactive discussions by various youths as they tackle or have tackled challenges in their lives. Prayer requests and intercessory prayer will be made at the end of every show.
The hosts of the show are no strangers to the esteemed domain. These are individuals whose lives have been touched by Talanta one way or the other. Meggie Waruri (the visionary and founder) will be hosting the show with Dorothy Machira-Kimani (the 2012 Talanta Awards Best Female Artist, and worship leader in Sacramento CA) and Angela Maina (former Miss Africa New York 2011-2012). Jesse Maringa, Apostle L. Muthami and Rev Wambui Njoroge are a few of the many who will be ministering during the show. Diverse co-hosts, renowned Gospel Artistes and personalities from all walks of life will be featured in the show with a purpose of uplifting, inspiring and bringing practicality to the show.
“Our ultimate aim is to reach this generation through the media with the Word of God - encouraging them to positively maximize their talents. In doing so, we believe that efforts to secure a cohesive society will continually bear fruit”. Meggie Waruri tells Mwakilishi.com.
“We look forward to hanging out with you all during our shows beginning this November” she says. Creating conducive environs for talents to thrive is what Talanta does best, perfection might be a little far off, Meggie adds.
Besides the Radio show, Talanta has an upcoming event in Doha, Qatar on Easter Weekend 2013 and a Launching in Kenya in December, 2013 which has more than 20 youths travelling to Kenya for the Launching. Talanta will be held every OTHER year in Kenya and United States alternately.
