Ukabila: Siasa Za Kupokezana Vijiti

Kimantiki, Wakenya sio waja wenye chuki za kikabila kama viongozi wanavyotufanya kuamini. Hata hivyo, ukabila ni umejijengea vibanda kati yetu kwa miaka na dahara. Ubaguzi wa kikabila ni ugonjwa wenye virusi hatari ambao umejitanda katika sehemu nyingi nchini hata katika maeneo ambayo makabila makubwa makubwa yanaishi haswaa KISUMU, kiambu, Taita Taveta, Narok, Kisii, Kericho, Bomet, Nyeri, Tana River, na kwingineko. Utashangaa ni kwa nini sikutaja sehmu ziishio Wakamba kama vile Kangundo, Yatta, Machakos na Tala. Ni kwa sababu Wakamba, kihistoria, ni miongoni mwa jamii ambazo katu hawaamini wala kuabudu ukabila. Marehemu Ngei aliwakubatia Wakenya wote kama ndugu, na hapo baadaye, Mzee Mulinge akafuata nyayo hizo hizo.

Kwa waliozaliwa Nairobi katika mitaa ya Korogocho, Zimmerman, Buru Buru, Ndandora, Kibera, Hurlingum, Lavington Green, Lang'ata, na sehemu zinginezo la jiji letu, utafsiri wa njinsia za kikabila hauna makazi katika nyoyo zao. Kwao, Mkenya ni Mkenya, Ukikuyu, Ukalenjini, Uluhya, Umaasai, Utaita, Umbere, na Uturkana unaelelekea ukingoni ule ule tu: Ukenya. Walisoma pamoja katika shule za msingi. Wakacheza pamoja mchezo wa kabumbu kwa kutumia mipira ya  kubuni ya makaratasi. Wakayajenga na kuyaendesha magari ya segenge huku mate na makamasi yakiwadodoka midomoni kutokana  mugurumo wa bandia. Wakayasukuma magurudumu ya mataeri makuu kuu ya baiskeli na magari mle mitaani. Wakacheza michezo ya kitotoni muyajuayo. Lugha ya mawasiliano ikawa ni Kiswahili. Wengi wakazisahau lugha za mama zao. Badaye walipofuzu katika shule na vyuo mbalimbali na kupata kazi, wakaoana wao wenyewe, bila swala la ukabila kuwa kizingiti.

Mara uchaguzi mkuu wa miaka ya 1982, 1987, 2002, 2007 ukawadia. Mwanzo mwanzo ikawa ni wilaya ya Narok. Sehemu za Nairegi Angare, Longisa, Melili, Enoo Supukia,  na Mau Narok kukawa  vichinjio vya Wakenya ambao walitumia haki yao ya kikatiba kuishi, kufanya biashara na kumiliki mali. Mwishowe Wakenya hao wakawa wakimbizi katika nchi yao. Aliyezusha vurugu, yungali mamlakani.......madarakani. Wakenya hao wakajihami katika eneo la baridi la Maiella. Shirka la Kimatifa La Kukabiliana na Wakimbizi la UN, likawanunulia shamba katika shirika la ADC Moidabi, katika kata ya Naivasha. Badala wao kugawiwa, wakazi kutoka Bomet, Kericho na Eldoret wakanufaishwa. Nao vingozi wa serikali ya KANU, Wakuu wa mikoa na Wilaya, Wakuu wa Majeshi na polisi wakajigawia mashamba makubwa yaliokuwa katika boma za ng'ombe zenye udongo mnono.

Wakenya hao walionuiwa kunufaika na mradi huo wa UN, wakapewa sehemu za chini chini ambapo mmomonyoko wa udongo uliobebwa na maji ya mvua kutoka milimani ya Mau. Nyumba zao zikafunikwa na mhanga huo. shule ya Msingi ya Moidabi iliojengewa watoto wao ikawa kama kaburi ya kuzibwa na kuzikwa na maporomoko ya mmomonyoko wa ardhi katika misimu ya mvua. Chuki za kikabila hizo.  Wakenya hao wakalala kama bahasha. Mwenyezi Mungu akawalinda wakakaa hivyo hivyo.

Mji wa Kapenguria na vitongoji vyake kukawaka moto. Wakenya wote ambao hawakutoka katika jamii ya Waporkot wakasukumwa nje. Timboroa, Maji Mazuri, Eldoret, Kaptembwa, Kwa Rhoda, Njoro, Molo, Olenguruine, Longia, Kericho, Kidawa, Brooke Bond, Kwale na sehemu zingine nchini kukawa na vuruguzilizosababisha vifo, ulemavu, uharibif wa mali na unyakuaji na umilikaji wa mashamba, mifugo na nyumba ya wakimbizi ambao waliacha yote hayo kuyanusuru maisha yao na familia zao.

Hizi zimekuwa mbegu za chuki za kikabila ambazo zimepandikizwa katika ulingoni wa kisiasa kwa miaka mingi. Kile ambacho viongozi hawa hawajaking'amua vita za sakafuni bila shaka huishia ukingoni. Ninachokijua ni kwamba hivi karibuni, nchi yetu itaingia katika mparaganyiko wa kijamiiutaotokana na watoto wa walioadhiriwa na sakata hizi kutaka kujua kama kweli wazazi wao walifanyiwa haki nyakati hizo. Ni aibu kuona kwamba hata wakati huu tunapoelekea uchaguzini mkuu, wanaendelea kugawanya Wakenya kwa misingi ya kikabila. Walishazipanda mbegu hizi za chuki tayari. Na kwa sababu zimeanza kuchipua, wanawauliza sisi Wakenya kuyamwagilia maji ili matawi yake inawiri iwanufaishe wao, wake zao, watoto wao, kabila zao na marafiki zao.

Tumkataze Raila kutumia kabila lake kumuoa Uhuru akishuhudiwa na Wakikuyu wenzake. Tumkataze Ruto kutumia kabila kabila lake la Wakalenjini kutuchezea siasa za shere, mara na Uhuru, kisha na Raila. Tumsime Mudavadi asiwatumie Waluhya kuendeleza itikadi za baba yake. Tumpinge Kalonzo Musyoka kuwaadama kina Uhuru, Raila, Ruto, Wamalwa,  na Mudavadi huku akitumia mishale ya kabila. Kwani wao ni akina nani? Mbona wanatulewesha na siasa za chuki za kikabila? Mbona hawataki kuomba kura kutoka kwa Wakenya wote bila kujihami katika makabila yao? Baba zao na ndugu zao walikuwa viongozi wametufanya fukara, mayatima, wakimbizi kutoka nchi yetu kutafuta malisho mema ugenini. Mbona wanapokezana vijiti vya siasa kana kwamba Kenya ni boma zao, mali yao?

Nchi yetu ina makabila 42. Jirani yetu Tanzania kuna makabila zaidi ya 120 ilhali marehemu Julius Kambarage Nyerere aliweza kuleta utangamano kwa makabila haya yote kwa ufanisi mkubwa. Mbona wewe hutaki kumsuta kiongozi huyo atokao katika kabila lako? Mbona anangija wakati wa uchaguzi kumtumia mwanao awe mstari wa mbele kubeba mishale, mapanga na rungu wakati yeye anaihamisha familia yake katika likizo kule Ubelgiji, Uhispania, Marekani, New Zealand, na Uingereza baada ya kulipwa Ksh 200?

Je, takuwa mzazi wa aina gani kumruhusu mwanao aende vitani na Wakenya wenzake wakati watoto wao wanaogelea fukweni za Atlantiki, Pasifiki, Mediterinian huku wakiwa na walinzi wanaolipwa na walipa kodi? Lifikiri hilo mzazi mwenzangu. Wagombania hawa wa kiti cha urais wamekusaidia kivipi tangu baba na ndugu zao walipojitosa uongozini miaka karibu hamsini iliopita? Huna shamba, wameyamiliki yote. Huna gari, baiskeli yako imezeeka chakari chakari tangu zama zako. Wanao hawakuendelea na masomo yao. Kuweka mlo mezani kila sikukwa familia yako ni shida.

Unapowaabudu wao kwa unasababisha ugomvi ambao ndio mwanzo wa uhasama unaonnyesha makovu na chanzo cha umwagikaji wa damupale uchaguzi unapowadia. Wewe mwenyewe unawaruhusu waridhi baba zao, nchi yako na wewe binafsi. Wao wanataka kukidhi matakwa yao, maslahi yao na kulinda mali waliokuibia wewe, sisi na watoto wetu. Huo ndio ukweli. Tusiwaruhusu vikongwe hawa kupokezeana vijiti wenyewe wakati huu. Tuwape wengine wasio tufanya sisi wapumbavu. Wasio tumia kabila zao kuomba kura. Wameupa ukabila mashiko katika harakati za maisha ya watu. Sema la! La!

Kumbuka kutokeapo ghasia, biashara inasimama. Samaki zako zinaozea ufukweni mwa ziwa Viktoria. Maziwa yako inakandamana kule shambani. Na wao je? Mshahara wao na marupurupu yanabakia vile vile. Wanakutana katika mahoteeli makubwa kujijadili wao, kukujadili wewe, gharama zote zinarushiwa wewe. Hebu tukate mkataba hapa na kukubaliana tuwafute kazi Kalonzo, Ruto, Uhuru, Mudavadi, na Wamalwa. Kwani ni lazima iwe wao? Je, uko tayari kuweka sahihi? Basi sawa. Pekua pekua wengineo ambao unafikiri wanaweza kuikuza nchi yetu iwafaidi vizazi vijavyo, yaani watoto wako,wajukuu na vitukuu vyake. Hivyo ndivyo katiba yetu mpya inavyosema. Shukrani kwa tendo hilo!
