Baada ya Wakenya kuwachagua viongozi wawapendao hapo wiki iliopita, akiwemo Rais Mteule Mhe Uhuru Kenyatta, bila shaka wananchi wanayatarajia mengi kutoka kwao wakati huu. Aidha, sote tulishuhudia baadhi ya viongozi wakitimuliwa mbio na wengine wapya wakipewa madaraka na wapiga kura. Vigogo walioning'inia usukani kwa miongo mingi serikalini hadi wakadhania ya wao ndio waliokuwa bora, sasa hawamo nasi. Wote sasa wanatafuta kazi na kudodokwa na mate, huku wakimwandama Rais Mteule kokote aendapo, wakijifanya kuwa wanamageuzi, wapenda mabadiliko, hadithi za kale hizo: nyani wale wale, misitu ile ile! Huh!
Ushindi uliopatikana uliwasisimua Wakenya, na kusema kweli, tangu siku hio ya Jumatatu uchanguzi ulipofanyaka, Wakenya wengi walilala usingizi wa kaka Sungura, masaa mawili hapa, mengine matatu pale. Walifanya hivyo ili kufuatilia matokeo ya uchaguzi katika runinga,mtandaoni, magazetini, redioni na wengine kwenye porojo porojo za mashinani. Lakini sisi wananchi wa kawaida tunatarajia yapi kutoka kwa serikali ya UhuRuto? Pengine tutawasihi wayatende haya!
Serikali ya UhuRuto ikifanya hivyo na mengine mengi, Wakenya watajawa na matumaini ya kujikwamua kutoka umaskini uliokidhiri, umaskini wa kutupwa na wakuchekwa. Azeni kuchapa kazi, wananchi wanawatazama kama mapera yalioiva lakini yalioko juu juu na pembeni mwa mti.
