Raila: Matiang'i Helping Jubilee to Rig Elections

In fresh election rigging claims, National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential flag bearer Raila Odinga has sensationally linked acting Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i to poll manipulation scheme.

The former Prime Minister alleged that the CS is now working together with the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to rig next month's elections in favor of Jubilee.

While on a campaign trail in Kibra, Nairobi County on Tuesday, the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader said that Matiang’i, who was named acting Interior CS after the demise of Joseph Nkaissery, was plotting to rig elections in the name of security.

“Matiang’i is the Jubilee point man in Nyamira and we’ll not allow him to interfere with IEBC as we know he’s working on behalf of Jubilee,” said Odinga.

“Matiang’i should make a choice whether he is a Jubilee political player or a public servant.” His running mate Kalonzo Musyoka said.

The opposition outfit has on numerous ocassion accused Jubilee of scheming to manipulate results in the August 8 polls.

NASA has put measures to prevent rigging including the adopt a polling station initiative and crafting a parallel vote tallying center.
