National Super Alliance (NASA) has welcomed the US and UK's gesture to assist with probe into Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) staff Chris Msando’s murder.

Msando, who disappeared on Friday, was found dead and dumped at a forest in Kikuyu area in Kiambu County and his body taken to City Mortuary in Nairobi by police officers.

“Our position is for speedy acceptance of US and UK offers to assist in investigating Chris Msando killing, We have been relieved to see our partners come to assist despite silence from Attorney General Githu Muigai, Deputy President William Ruto and President Uhuru Kenyatta,” said Musalia Mudavadi.

US and UK on Monday through their ambassadors to Kenya said they would bring in two of their elite investigating bodies (FBI and Scotland Yard) after Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Keriako Tobiko directed investigation into Msando’s killings.

NASA called for speedy investigation of the extra-judicial killing of the ICT director at the electoral commission, describing the murder as inhuman.

“We are totally confident that this act will strengthen Kenyans for their quest to have free and fair election. Our supporters must turn out in large numbers to vote us in. We urge IEBC commissioners to soldier on to deliver free and fair election,” said Mudavadi.
