NASA Demands Raila Odinga Be Declared President-Elect
National Super Alliance (NASA) has demanded that the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) declare Nasa presidential candidate Raila Odinga as the President-elect.
Speaking during a press briefing in Nairobi on Thursday, Nasa campaign manager Musalia Mudavadi, accompanied by Raila Odinga and Kalonzo said that an insider within IEBC had revealed to them that Raila had won the election.
"The actual results is the one in the servers and not those displayed on the IEBC screens," said Mudavadi. "We therefore demand that the IEBC declare that Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka as the ultimate winners of the Elections," he added.
"Raila Odinga got 8,041,726 votes and President Uhuru is second by 7,755,428 votes. This was given to us by confidential sources from IEBC".
"The least we expected from IEBC was to undertake actions on our concerns," said Mudavadi in the press briefing held at the Nasa election headquarters ABC Place in Westlands.
