John Wanjohi Aug 27, 2017

National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga says that the journey to Canaan is very much on course and that no one will stop Kenyans from liberating themselves.

Speaking to journalists moments after attending Church service at All Saints Cathedral in Nairobi on Sunday, the former Prime Minister said that they have already crossed river Jordan and now headed to the city of Jerusalem.

"Yes journey to Canaan was never easy...it had a lot of ups and down..
Our plan to go to Canaan is still very much on, " He said.

"Today's sermon here was about the journey to Canaan. We said that we crossed river Jordan on 8th of August, we are now on our way to the city of Jerusalem, we have passed Jericho, No one will stop Kenyans from reaching Jerusalem,".

"I want to tell the people of Kenya that no force on earth will prevent the people of Kenya to from liberating themselves from political oppression, corruption, deceit and misrule that has characterized Jubilee government in the last four years,".

Throughout his campaigns, Raila has likened himself to Joshua of the Bible, saying he will deliver Kenyans from oppression in Egypt to Canaan. He baptized himself as Joshua, while his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka is the biblical Caleb.
