Nominated MP Isaac Mwaura Emotionally Reveals Death of Two of His Triplets
Nominated Member of Parliament Isaac Mwaura has revealed a secret he has kept for months about the passing on of two of his children.
In an emotional revelation, the legislator opened up on the ordeal that hit him at the height of political campaigns, where he was seeking President Uhuru's Jubilee party ticket for Ruiru MP, which he lost to incumbent Alice Ng'ang'a.
Kenyans online united and expressed sympathy while posting messages of condolences to the politician following the revelation of his loss in a lengthy emotional post on Facebook.
Earlier this year, the MP welcomed triplets together with his wife Mukami. Mwaura broke the news of being the father of two boys and a girl on Facebook, sharing pictures of him and wife.
Mwaura said he lost a boy and a girl during the Jubilee Party nominations but kept it a secret.
“I went ahead to vie for Ruiru parliamentary seat, suffered political violence and eventually lost the election. Some people thought that I was down and out. Others even celebrated!”
“Mukami and I even lost two of our triplets (a boy and a girl) and we were left with only one son and a hospital bill of 11.2 million to clear not forgetting that we were in the middle of party primary campaigns. It was really tough but we kept the faith.” He posted.
Mwaura was nominated to the 11th parliament through Raila Odinga's ODM party, but ditched the party in the run of August 8th polls to join Jubilee.
He has since been nominated by the Jubilee party to the Senate to represent people living with disability.
