I'll Be Kenya's President 'Very Soon', Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho Says
Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho says that he is the most suited person to inherit Opposition leader Raila Odinga if he (Raila) is elected president.
Speaking while drumming support for the National Super Alliance Presidential candidate in Eastleigh, Nairobi on Sunday, the Mombasa county boss said he would be Kenya’s president ‘very soon’.
Joho said that he is well placed to outwit Deputy President William Ruto in the 2022 general elections.
The governor told Ruto to brace himself for tough political times and vowed to send him to political oblivion.
“Nakwambia kwa hii serikali ya Raila nitatambaa mimi.(I am telling you, I will dominate Raila’s government,” said Joho," Joho said.
Joho, however, told supporters that, for this to happen, Kenyans must vote for former Prime Minister Raila Odinga in the forthcoming repeat presidential election.
Joho was elected for a second term in office as Mombasa governor in the August 8th polls after downing Jubilee's Suleiman Shahbal and Wiper's Hassan Sarai Omar.
DP William Ruto, Hassan Joho, former Meru governor Peter Munya, Baringo Senator Gedion Moi and Nasa running mate Kalonzo Musyoka are some of individuals who have declared interests in the country's top political seat in the 2022 elections.
