Gatundu South Member of Parliament, Moses Kuria has issued a warning to National Super Alliance (NASA) Presidential candidate, Raila Odinga, cautioning him against derailing the October 17th repeat elections.

The former Prime Minister on Sunday launched "no reforms, no elections" campaign and vowed that there will be no polls should the IEBC decline to meet his ‘irreducible minimum’ conditions before the fresh polls.

Speaking on a campaign trail in Kasarani on Sunday, where he accompanied Deputy President William Ruto's brigade, Kuria threatened that they will place Odinga under house arrest, should he attempt to derail the election.

"If Rail tries to stop us from voting on 17th October, we will place him under house arrest just the way we did to Jaramogi (his father).

Deputy President William Ruto accused Odinga and his Nasa team of not being ready for the polls hence the side shows.

“When they say there will be no election, it can only mean that there will be a coup or chaos because the only way to stop the repeat poll is to cause chaos,".

“Who are you to stop the election? People must vote next month to elect their president. I want to make it categorical that there will be an election next month,” said Ruto.

The ODM party leader also said that no elections will be held if electoral body does not get rid of 12 of its officials including CEO Ezra Chiloba.

Last week, police arrested Kuria for ‘using abusive words intended to bring physical injury to a person on 5 September at the Wangige Market' and was arraigned in court, where he was released on sh one million bail.

Kuria allegedly uttered words considered as hate speech on the former Prime Minister and his wife Ida.
