National Super Alliance (NASA) has has revealed plans to offer food and drinks to supporters taking part in anti-Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission demonstrations starting this Friday.

Speaking during Wednesday's protests in Nairobi, Dagoretti North Member of Parliament Simba Arati promised the supporters that the coalition will from Friday give bread and soda to them before every demos.

This was after a section of supporters were captured in a video stealing sodas outside a shop in Nairobi CBD on Wednesday. Arati confessed it could be as a result of supporters being hungry and thirsty, adding that the party will roll out the program to prevent a re-occurrence of such incidents.

Arati said that a well-wisher has offered to purchase 20,000 bottles of soda and loaves of bread daily that will issued to fans at Uhuru Park before the beginning of every demo.

This comes after Siaya Senator James Orengo announced that the coalition will be holding daily anti-IEBC protests starting next week Monday to force the electoral commission to give in to their demands.

“From Monday they need to know the protests will be daily all over the country. We are not here to joke. If there are no reforms, there will be no elections,” he said.

However, in a statement on Thursday, acting Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i announced the government has banned the demos by the opposition within Nairobi, Mombasa and Kisumu CBDs to protect Kenyans and their properties against looting and destructio by protesters as witnessed in Nairobi and Kisumu in the past two weeks.
