Miguna Miguna: I Regret Voting for President Uhuru
Former Nairobi gubernatorial aspirant Miguna Miguna says that he voted for President Uhuru in the nullified August 8th election.
The former Raila Odinga aide however says that he regrets voting for the Jubilee Party candidate, adding that it was a mistake he would never make again.
Speaking during a debate on NTV on Tuesday morning, the controversial former Canada-based lawyer said that President Uhuru no longer respects Kenyans and democracy and regretted his August 8th choice.
“I made a big mistake voting for Uhuru Kenyatta on August 8th and I regret it. I will never support him,” Miguna Miguna said.
"But I have said that I will never ever support him, because he does not respect Kenyans and the principles of democracy,” he added.
In past television interviews, Miguna stated he neither leans towards Jubilee or Nasa, but only and only backs the side of justice and truth.
In 2009, Miguna was appointed as chief advisor of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, but was later suspended. He relocated to Canada before returning to the country to contest for Nairobi governor in the August 8th election as an independent candidate, losing to Mike Sonko of Jubilee.
