NASA Leaders Threaten to Hold Parallel Swearing-in Ceremony for Raila

John Wanjohi Nov 06, 2017

A section of National Super Alliance (NASA) leaders led by Siaya senator James Orengo and former Kakamega Senator Dr Boni Khalwale have threatened to swear-in Raila as President in a ceremony parallel to that of President Uhuru's swearing-in.

Speaking during a rally at Kamukunji grounds in Kibera on Sunday, the leaders said that Nasa will swear-in Raila at Nyayo Stadium as Jubilee swears-in Uhuru at Kasarani Stadium.

"If Jubilee decides to swear-in Uhuru at Kasarani Stadium, we (NASA) will be at Nyayo Stadium to swear-in Raila," Khalwale said.

Khalwale said that Raila won the nullified August 8th election, and Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) can confirm it by opening their results servers.

"Kenyans know Raila won the August polls. If you (Jubilee) are not convinced that he was the winner go and open the servers," stated Khalwale.

He continued: “America has already started arresting people who stole elections, and in Kenya, the government plans to reward them with plum jobs. We will not allow it.”

Siaya senator James Orengo demanded the electoral commission to open its servers so former Prime Minister Raila Odinga can take Oath of Office as Kenya's fifth President.

“As the Opposition we demand that they open the servers for the August 8 general polls so that we can declare Raila the fifth President of the Republic of Kenya,” said Orengo.

He added: “The world knows who won the August polls with 80 per cent votes.”

“This time we are totally prepared and we will not be intimidated by a fake government. We know the Constitution and in the next two weeks we will tell Kenyans the way forward,” Orengo said.
