Martha Karua Makes Two Appeals to President Uhuru
Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua has reacted to President Uhuru Kenyatta's tweet about his meeting with retired President Daniel arap Moi.
Karua appealed to Uhuru to address the violence witnessed in the country in the past few days.
Uhuru visited former President Moi at his rural residence in Kabarak, Nakuru county, but what was discussed in the meeting remains unknown.
"Visited and had lunch with Former President Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi in Kabarak, Nakuru," President Uhuru tweeted.
Reacting to President Uhuru's tweet about his meeting with retired head of state Daniel Moi, former Kirinyaga gubernatorial aspirant Martha Karua said:"That's okay ! We need you to address the escalating violence."
Incidents of violence were witnessed on Friday during the return of opposition leader Raila Odinga to the country after his 10-day trip to the United States. Tension was also high in Babadogo estate in Nairobi on Sunday after five people were killed in unclear circumstances.
In another tweet on Monday morning, Karua congratulated President Uhuru after the Supreme Court upheld his October 26th reelection and called on him to unite the country.
"The Supreme court has spoken! I Wish @UKenyatta well as he embarks on the task of uniting a fractured nation & ensuring equal protection of the law for all," Karua tweeted.
