McDonald's to Open it's First Restaurant in Nairobi

John Wanjohi Dec 11, 2017

US giant fast food restaurant chain McDonald’s is set to enter the Kenyan market as it continues to extend its wings across the world.

The restaurant will be launching its first store in the country in the next six months through a franchize model. The restaurant will be located at the Total fuel station along Dennis Rd in Kilimani Estate, Nairobi.

The launch comes about three years since the fast-food chain invited investors to lodge applications for a Kenya franchise. In March, McDonald's announced it would open 4,000 more restaurants across the world by the end of 2017.

Its entry into the Kenyan capital adds to the increasing number of international franchise setting stores in Kenya among them, Subway and Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC).

McDonald’s is among the largest global restaurant chains, serving more than 69 million customers daily in over 100 countries.
