Kalonzo, Wife Return to the Country from Germany
Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has returned to the country after nearly three months of absence.
The National Super Alliance (NASA) co-principal arrived in the country in company of his wife Pauline, who has been receiving specialized treatment for an undisclosed illness at a hospital in Germany.
The flight carrying Mr and Mrs Musyoka reportedly touched the ground at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) at about 2am on Wednesday and were picked by their son Kennedy, who was recently elected to the East Africa Legislative Assembly (EALA).
Kalonzo jetted to Germany on October 11th, two weeks to the October 26th repeat presidential election, to attend to his ailing wife admitted at a facility in the European country.
The former Vice President had been expected to return to the country on December 18th to attend former Kitui West Member of Parliament Francis Nyenze’s burial which took place on Tuesday, but reportedly missed a flight .
While in Germany, Kalonzo kept a low profile and rarely made any major political announcements.
