NASA: Qualified Judge to Administer Oath on Raila on Jan 30th at 10am

John Wanjohi Jan 25, 2018

National Super Alliance (Nasa) Chief Executive Officer Norman Magaya has said that opposition leader Raila Odinga's oath will be administered by a qualified judge.

Speaking during an interview with Citizen TV on Thursday, Magaya said the handing over of the “instruments of power” to Odinga will happen in the full glare of the public, although he did not mention the name of the judge.

Magaya further said the coalition will use Uhuru Park grounds for the January 30th inauguration ceremony, despite Nairobi County government announcing the park's closure to the public on Wednesday.

Magaya said the ceremony will begin with the “oath of office” followed by “oath of execution of duties” at about 10: 00 am.

“We are finalizing plans for the inauguration. We are expecting a number of dignitaries who have already confirmed their attendance. The ones who will not be able to attend the event have sent their congratulatory messages,” said Magaya.

“Tuesday will be a historic day that will end bad governance in this country. I can guarantee you that it will be a smooth process,” said Magaya.
