Former Kisumu Governor Jack Ranguma Considers Following Raila's Steps to Swear Himself
Former Kisumu County Governor Jack Ranguma says he is considering being sworn-in as Kisumu Governor in the same style National Super Alliance (Nasa) leader Raila Odinga took oath as people's president on Tuesday.
This comes after his petition challenging the victory of Prof Anyang' Nyong'o was dismissed by the High Court on January 3rd.
“Raila has set the precedent, his vote was stolen and he is now the people’s president. Would it be wrong if I followed cue and also claimed what’s mine?” Ranguma said on Friday.
The court further slapped Ranguma Sh5 million as cost for the petition, with Governor Nyong'o and Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) receiving Sh2.5 million each.
However, Ranguma moved to Appellate Court to appeal the ruling, arguing that the High Court judge erred in his judgment.
Ranguma was speaking when he attended the burial of Silas Owiti, the founder of Voice of Salvation and Healing Church, in Kisumu on Friday.
