Stop Holding Kenya at Ransom, NASA MP Tells Raila

John Wanjohi Feb 18, 2018

A National Super Alliance (Nasa) Member of Parliament has asked opposition chief Raila Odinga to stop holding the country at ransom.

Matungulu MP Stephen Mule said it is time for Odinga to sit down with President Kenyatta and talk about moving Kenya forward.

Mule further said that it was time for opposition leaders to realise that Kenyans have moved on from last year's elections and start their role of keeping the government in check.

“Sideshows will not help us. The foot soldiers in parliament cannot continue walking out when they’re supposed to oversight who is in power. I believe God is on this country’s side. If this country did not burn on 30th January, it will never burn,” said Mule.

He added: “Raila and Uhuru should bring what they both have on the table together to move this country forward."

The Wiper MP was speaking when he launched a new dining hall at Matungulu Girls Secondary School in Machakos County.

“If we cannot change the situation, then we need to find a solution to move forward,” added the MP, asking Odinga to shelve his recent “sideshows” and accept to sit down and engage the Jubilee government.
