NASA MPs Who Vetted, Approved President Kenyatta's Cabinet Nominees to Be Punished
National Super Alliance (Nasa) Members of Parliament who took part in the vetting and approval of President Kenyatta's nominees to Cabinet will face disciplinary actions.
Leader of Minority in the National Assembly John Mbadi, who doubles up as chairman of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party, said the coalition will meet to decide the action to be taken on the MPs, who defied the coalition's orders against participating in the exercise.
"Members who participated in the process went against the party directives. Some of the members called me and enquired whether they should participate in the process and I clarified that they should not take part. This is an indication that they were fully aware of our position as a party," Mbadi said.
Mbadi maintained that Nasa does not recognize the Presidency of Kenyatta and the MPs must be punished for going against the coalition's stand.
MPs Caleb Amisi (Saboti), Beatrice Adagala of Vihiga,Patrick Makau of Mavoko,Justus Kizito of Shinyalu, Lilian Gogo of Rongo and Ahmed Kolosh of Wajir West are some of the opposition MPs who participated in the vetting exercise.
