I Must Be on the Presidential Ballot in 2022, Wetang'ula Declares
Ford-Kenya party leader Moses Wetang'ula has declared that he must be on presidential ballot come 2022.
Speaking during the closing ceremony of a meeting for secondary school heads drawn from Bungoma County, Wetang'ula said he was sure of an endorsement by National Super Alliance (Nasa) principals, stating that he has all it takes to President.
" Without any fear of contradiction, I will be on the ballot in 2022 and am asking my brother Raila, my brother Kalonzo and my brother Mudavadi to let me try this horse this time," said Wetangula in Kisumu.
"This does not preclude anybody else from asking me to support them because that is what politics is all about,”said Wetangula
The Bungoma senator further maintained that all Nasa co-principals are still united and will continue to push for electoral reforms ahead of next presidential polls.
"We are championing a common cause for the people of Kenya. We are together in a unity to give this country reforms and to give the people a better Kenya,” said Wetangula
He urged western Kenya region to rally behind his bid to dethrone Jubilee party from power come 2022.
