We're Not Enemies: I Carry Drunk Moses Kuria to His House, Babu Owino Says
Babu Owino, who recently had his election as Embakasi East Member of Parliament nullified by the High Court, says that they are friends with Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria.
Speaking during an interview with NASA online TV on Monday, Owino criticised Kenyans for hating each other because of ethnic and political differences.
Babu said that it was unfortunate that Kenyans act in that manner, when the politicians they fight and hate each other for are friends and business partners.
The former University of Nairobi student leader further noted that, contrary to believe of many that he and Kuria are enemies, he has good relationship with him. Babu said he even carries Kuria home when he finds him "in a bar very drunk."
"Politicians are never that tribal. When we are in parliament we talk well (to each other). Moses Kuria at times I find him in a bar very drunk. I am the one who carries him and takes him to his house," Babu said.
"I carry him with my security, I take him to his house in Westlands. I have done that. Let him deny that in public. We as politicians don't hate each other," Owino said.
