Retired President Moi Flown to Israel for Treatment
Retired President Daniel Arap Moi was on Sunday morning reportedly flown to Israel for treatment.
Accompanying him on the trip is his son, Senator Gideon Moi and personal doctor, David Silverstein.
Sources said the ex-Head of State is set to have a specialized assessment on his knee, which has been causing him discomfort. The 93-year-old is reportedly set for an admission at a hospital in Tel Aviv, the second most populous city in the Middle-East country after Jerusalem.
Moi, who ruled Kenya for 24 years between 1978 and 2002, has enjoyed good health since his retirement.
He however had minor surgery performed on his knee in January last year at the Aga Khan University Hospital in Nairobi.
