Retired President Moi Responding Well to Treatment in Tel Aviv, Israel
Retired President Daniel Moi is responding well to treatment at a hospital in Tel Aviv, Israel where he was flown for further medical check up on Sunday.
In a statement released on Wednesday by his former press secretary Lee Njiru, the retired president is expected to return to the country soon.
“The former president is in high spirits, hearty and expected home soon. So far he is steady, robust and is responding very well to treatment,” Njiru said.
The 93-year-old, who ruled the country for 24 years, is admitted at the hospital for treatment on his knee, which has been giving him discomfort. He is accompanied to Israel by his personal doctor, David Silverstein and his son, Baringo Senator Gideon Moi.
