Be Wary of Raila, MP Warns Jubilee Leaders Over Unity Pact with President Uhuru
A section of Jubilee party Members of Parliament have disowned the unity pact reached between President Kenyatta and Opposition leader Raila Odinga.
After a meeting at the President's Harambee House office on Friday last week, Kenyatta and Odinga buried the hatchet and pledged to work together in a bid to unite Kenyans.
However, Kapenguria MP Samwel Moroto has cautioned Jubilee leaders to be wary of Raila, warning that his entry into Jubilee through dialogue could end up sinking the President Uhuru-led government.
Speaking during Chesumei sub-county educational day at Chemundu, Moroto said that the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader cannot be trusted because he has in the past proved to be politically unpredictable.
Nandi senator Samson Cherargei said that Odinga’s move to work with Kenyatta should be nothing short of endorsing Deputy President William Ruto’s 2022 presidential bid.
The senator also criticised the Odinga-led party over the move to remove Bungoma Senator Moses Wetang'ula as the Senate Minority Leader.
