Raila Speaks About Miguna Miguna's Return to Kenya

Opposition leader Raila Odinga says that the government will drop charges facing any National Super Alliance (Nasa) leader in relation to his January 30th mock swearing-in ceremony.

Addressing his supporters in Kisumu on Friday evening, the the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader further disclosed that National Resistance Movement (NRM) self-proclaimed general Miguna Miguna is guaranteed of a safe return to the country.

Miguna was dramatically deported to Canada by Kenyan immigration authorities on February 6th, days after administering an oath on Odinga in a ceremony held at Uhuru Park grounds in Nairobi.

“MPs and Nasa leaders whose passports were taken will be released back and their security officers reinstated," Odinga declared.

Miguna has already announced he will return to the country on March 26th for what he called "the mother of all liberation struggles."

Odinga further said that his talks with President Kenyatta agreed to compensate all victims of last year's elections.

An unclear number of opposition supporters lost their lives in the last elections during clash with police officers, while several others were left nursing injuries.
