New Opinion Poll Finds Ruto the Most Preferred 2022 Presidential Candidate, Raila Comes in Fourth
Deputy President William Ruto has emerged as the most preferred presidential candidate for the 2022 elections in an opinion poll published by research firm IPSOS Synovate.
National Super Alliance (Nasa) leader Raila Odinga was ranked as the fourth preferred candidate in the race for State House, IPSOS boss Tom Wolf said during a media briefing on Tuesday, where he released the poll results.
Coming in second is Ruto’s Rift Valley rival Baringo Senator Gideon Moi, who is also the Kenya Africa National Union (KANU) leader; followed by Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho.
Raila came in fourth, while Machakos Governor and Maendeleo Chap Chap party leader, Alfred Mutua closed the top five most liked candidates.
Wolf said the other three Nasa co-principals namely; Moses Wetang'ula (Ford Kenya), Musalia Mudavadi (ANC) and Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper) ranked poorly.
Wolf stated that the survey was carried out before the unity pact between President Uhuru and Raila, hence the new developments had no effects on the survey results.
