Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho to Visit Miguna Miguna in Dubai

John Wanjohi Mar 29, 2018

Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho is scheduled to visit lawyer Miguna Miguna, who is currently being held at the Dubai International Airport following his dramatic deportation from Kenya on Wednesday night.

His spokesman Richard Chacha said that the Governor, who is on his way to Kenya after an official trip to Estonia, will stop by Dubai to see how Miguna is faring.

"The governor will be in Dubai. He will be visiting Miguna shortly and give us updates on how Miguna is faring," Chacha stated.

Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Director of Communication Philip Etale also confirmed the visit in a tweet.

" @TheODMParty DPL @HassanAliJoho who is in Dubai on official visit is expected to pay NRM Gen. @MigunaMiguna in hospital where he is admitted after sustaining injuries as a result of police brutality and effects of severe sedation," Etale posted on his Twitter handle.

Miguna was taken to Sheikh Rashid Hospital in the United Arab Emirates capital after he complained of body pains. He said his body, especially the ribs, was hurting.

He claimed that the pain came after he was drugged, beaten and dragged to a Dubai-bound flight.

"I have severe pain on the left side of my chest, my left wrist, my right elbow and my feet," he said.

"I believe that the despots must have injected me with noxious substances." “I woke up in Dubai and the despots are here insisting that I must travel on to London.”
