Miguna Miguna Taken Ill in Dubai, Claims He Was Drugged

John Wanjohi Mar 29, 2018

Miguna Miguna has reportedly been hospitalized at a medical facility in Dubai. Miguna was taken to Sheikh Rashid Hospital in the United Arab Emirates capital after he complained of body pains. This came moments after landing at the Dubai International Airport, following his deportation from Kenya on Wednesday night.

The self-declared National Resistance Movement (NRM) general said his body, especially the ribs, was hurting. He claimed that the pain came after he was drugged, beaten and dragged to a Dubai-bound flight.

"I have severe pain on the left side of my chest, my left wrist, my right elbow and my feet," he said.

"I believe that the despots must have injected me with noxious substances." “I woke up in Dubai and the despots are here insisting that I must travel on to London.”

Photos circulating on the internet shows Miguna being wheel-chaired to a bed hospital at the Dubai International Airport.

"This is an international airline and airport ... I know the rules ... I am following the rules ... I am sick... I am allowed to say if I am sick ... you cannot force me to walk if I cannot walk ..."  Miguna is heard telling the airport officials in a video clip.

He says he will resist any move to fly him to anywhere else, other than Kenya.

"I have made it crystal clear to the United Arab Emirates immigration authorities that I cannot and will not fly anywhere with them except to Kenya," he said.

"As I return to Kenya either today or tomorrow, I strongly encourage all patriotic Kenyans to remain firm, focused and fearless in the face of an outlaw, authoritarian and illegitimate regime..."
