Self-declared National Resistance Movement (NRM) general Miguna Miguna claims that his life in danger after an unknown individual attempted to break into his hospital room in Dubai where he's still receiving treatment.

Speaking to KTN News through phone on Saturday night, Miguna said that unknown people whom he suspects are police officers tried to get access to his room, but backed away after he challenged them.

“A man claiming to be a doctor tried to enter my room, I asked him to prove that he was a doctor but he could not,” he said.

He further claimed that UAE police have blocked efforts by officials from Canadian Embassy in Dubai to visit him at the hospital.

“I’m unwell and I cannot access quality medication without exiting the airport. This will require my Kenyan passport that the government of Kenya has denied me after sedating and forcefully ejecting me from Nairobi,” he said.

Asked when he plans to fly back to Kenya, the fiery lawyer said: “I do not have travel documents. I can only travel if I have my Kenyan passport that the court has ordered to be returned to me unconditionally.”

The firebrand lawyer was kicked out of the country for the second time on Wednesday night, despite numerous court orders directing for his release.

His deportation came after he landed at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport from Canada on Monday afternoon, but Immigration authorities denied him entry after he reportedly refused to comply to clearance procedures at the Nairobi airport.
