Kenyans in the United Kingdom openly showed their differences outside Chatham House in London, where President Kenyatta delivered an address on Tuesday.

As President Kenyatta exited the venue after a successful talk, two groups of Kenyans stood outside the house associated with tenets of democracy. One group that arrived as President Uhuru delivered the talk carried placards written "Respect rule of law", “Born Kenyan, forever Kenyan” and "Respect human rights".

They began chanting and shouting anti-Uhuru slogans immediately President Uhuru exited the premises. This forced the President's security team to quickly whisk him to his car parked a few metres from the door, his motorcade leaving in a hurry.

However, as the group shouted anti-Uhuru slogans, another group of Kenyans countered them by chanting “Our President, our President!”

President Kenyatta is on a five-day visit to the UK, where he will attend the Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) and sell Kenya as an investment hub.

On Tuesday, he held a private meeting with the Duke of Cambridge Prince William at Buckingham Palace and also opened the London Stock Exchange.
