Kenyans and Kikuyus are Tired of President Kenyatta, David Ndii Says

John Wanjohi Jun 30, 2018

Outspoken National Super Alliance (Nasa) strategist David Ndii says the 2022 elections will be a contest between a few Kenyatta dynasty sympathizers and a majority of Kenyans who are tired of the President's leadership.

The economist says it is not only Kenyans who are tired of Kenyatta leadership, but also Kikuyus from the President's backyard who are eager to have his reign end.

"There you have it. Kenya is an uthamakistan (an ideology insinuating kingship belongs to the Kikuyu community) project. Now it is Kenya versus Kenyattaism. Many Kikuyus are tired of them also," said Ndii.

Ndii said Kenyans who campaigned and voted for President Uhuru just because he was a Kikuyu have suffered under his administration and would vote against his preferred successor during the 2022 polls.

He said the Jubilee administration has failed to address the real issues affecting Kenyans and opted to focus on white elephant projects such as the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR).

"Because Uhuruto are greedy, mediocre leaders. In times past, they would have sold us into slavery. Human life is priceless but we don’t have enough money for healthcare because we are paying Chinese 80 billion a year, more than the health budget, for white elephant railway," he said.
