President Kenyatta Sacks Embattled PS Lillian Omollo in Mini Cabinet Reshuffle
President Uhuru Kenyatta has fired embattled Youth Affairs Principal Secretary Lillian Omollo in a mini cabinet reshuffle announced on Friday.
Ms Omollo was among top government officials charged in relation to the multi-billion scandal at the National Youth Service (NYS).
In the changes that affected the Cabinet, Chief Administrative Secretaries and Permanent Secretaries, the President appointed Francis Otieno Owino as Youth PS to replace sacked Omollo.
Trade CS Adan Mohamed has been transferred to the East African Commission and Regional Development ministry to replace Peter Munya, who takes over as the Industry, Trade and Cooperatives CS.
Devolution Principal Secretary Nelson Marwa is the new PS for Social Protection Pension and Senior Citizens Affairs Department.
Charles Sunkuli, who was the Principal Secretary in the Social Protection Pension and Senior Citizens Affairs Department takes over as Devolution PS.
Deputy State House Spokesperson Kanze Dena has been appointed as the new State House Spokesperson to replace Manoah Esipisu, who has been named an Ambassador.
Former Rongo MP Ochilo Ayako and former chairperson of the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) Sarah Serem have been appointed as Ambassadors.
Others who have been appointed as Ambassadors include; Lt General Samuel Thuita, Francis Muhoro, Nicholas Oginga Ogego, John Kimani Ondieki, Chris Karumba Mburu and Benjamin Lagat.

5. Joe Okudo – PS Tourism State Department
6. Fatuma Hersi – PS Broadcasting and Telecommunications State Department
7. Francis Otieno Ouma – PS State Department of Youth
8. Esther Koimet - PS Transport State Department
9. Ibrahim M.Mohamed - State Department of Labour
10. Margaret .W. Mwakima - Wildlife State Department
